Designed to the millimetre

159 × 51 × 25 mm.
Small enough for any chord.

Laser measure

Fires from the head.
Reads the deck to the millimetre.

Readout

The numbers live on the unit too.
Freeze them with a single press.

Built for the rig

One bolt. Any 50 mm tube.
Charges over USB-C.

The old way

The tape measure
had a good run.

Climbing, guessing, shouting numbers across the deck. Rubble replaces all of it with one reading everyone can trust.

01 · Clamp

Bolt it to the truss.

A half coupler on any 50 mm chord. The Rubble hangs head-down, laser to the deck.

02 · Network

One master. Every slave.

Your phone talks Bluetooth to the master. The master talks long-range radio to every other Rubble in the venue.

03 · Fly out

Watch it climb.
Live.

Every Rubble reports its height as the motors run, with offsets so you read the truss, not the device.

04 · At trim

Stage right is low.

You know it before anyone climbs. Bump the motor and watch the numbers come home.

The Rubble app

Every Rubble.
One screen.

Green means go.

Set a target and a tolerance. When every Rubble is inside it, you're level, at trim, and done.

Shows · Areas · Departments

Every department.
One truth.

Group Rubbles into Shows and Areas, give each Area to Lighting, Rigging or Video, and everyone sees only what's theirs. Upload the show to the Rubble cloud and hand the next venue a Share Code.

Designed for the entertainment industry by people who work in it

Everything a rigger asked for.

Targets & tolerances

Set a target angle or distance for any Rubble. The app turns green inside your tolerance and red outside it.

Hybrid network

Bluetooth to one master. Long-range radio from the master to every other Rubble.

Offsets

Positive or negative per Rubble, so the reading matches the truss, the deck or your plan.

Theatrical orientation

Tell the app how it's mounted and Rubble speaks stage left, stage right, upstage and downstage.

Remote power

Power Rubbles off from the deck to save battery between calls.

Cloud sharing

Upload a show and share it with a code.

Questions.

How do I turn a Rubble on and off?

Press the power button to turn it on. Press and hold for 4 seconds to turn it off.

Why do I need to keep it still when turning it on?

Rubble calibrates yaw as it powers up, so keep it still for a moment after pressing the power button.

How do I know which Rubble is the master?

The screen border shows status. Blue is the master, connected to your phone by Bluetooth. Green is a slave connected to the master. Yellow is a timeout, white is snapshotted data and red is a comms failure.

Do I need to pair it over Bluetooth?

No. Install the app, allow location access (the phone treats BLE scanning as positioning), switch on a few Rubbles and they appear.

How do I freeze the numbers on the screen?

Press the snapshot button. The readout freezes and the border turns white. Press again to go back to live readings.

Can I change the measurement units?

Yes. Short-press the right button to cycle millimetres, metres, feet and milliseconds, or set units in the app.

Does Rubble work in large venues?

Yes. Only the master needs to be within Bluetooth range of your phone. Every other Rubble talks to the master over long-range radio. Use Shows to keep large rigs fast and organised.

How do I update the firmware?

Over the air from the app, or, faster, plug the Rubble into a computer over USB and update from a Chromium-based browser such as Chrome, Edge or Brave.

No more guesswork.
No more climbing.
